(*) Supported chipsets: NVIDIA GeForce3 or greater (GeForce MX series not supported); ATI Radeon 8500 or greater; Intel 915/945/950/GMA3000. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported.
somehow they always seem to make the game look pretty good and run on most manistream pc’s
if you want to enjoy fifa, always double their requirements. e.g. if they say 256 of Ram , go for 521 Ram

Me too. It says that i need Hardware graphics acceleration. What do I need to do? I installed latest directx and everything, my comp has the minimum requirements (even more) and don’t now what is the problem. Pleaseeeee guys help I just love FIFA

i just installed fifa 08. when i start the game it just shows a black screen. when i go to the task manager it shows that the cpu usage is 100%, but the minimum requirement is 1.3 Ghz and i have a cpu of 2.67 Ghz. Can anyone help pls? 10x
Hey all u guys that r getting the hardware error.. its probably because u need a graphics card.. the lowest on-board chipset fifa 08 supports is the intel 915

well i installed fifa on my PC and when i start it,it comes up with a black screen and stays like that forever when i installed it on my laptop it worked tho not so smoothly. Any way the only difference between my laptop and my PC is that my lap top has 128MB nvidia Geforce graphics card and my PC has a 96MB integrated intel extreme graphics 2 so obviously this game cannot be played if you dont have the supported chipsets

The GeForce MX Series is not supported
you’ll have to upgrade your graphics card.. i would suggest a GeForce 7300.. not only will FIFA 08 fly but other games will work too.. if you want it for next-gen gaming i would suggest a GeForce 8*** series card.. hope this solves your problem
I have ATI Raddeon 2600XT 256MB DDR4 video card and i also getting a message that I need a video hardware acceleration. I think this card should be enough. Yesterday I played Call on Duty demo on it with no problems, so I don’t understand why fifa wouldn’t work.

Hey EVERYONE that wants to know if their computer supports Fifa 08′ either take of the two options
A) Install the free Fifa 08′ demo, if it works Fifa 08′ will work
B) go here http://www.avirtualexit.com/2007/09/05/how-to-ensure-your-pc-meets-new-games-system-requirements/
and choose Fifa 08′ it will check your computer and see if it’s compatible.

My PC Spec goes below and im able to run FIFA08 fine and smoothly so to those of you having problems u might probably want to get my PC Spec and compare with yours.

I get the eternal black screen too. Read the read me file and found out my video card chipset isn’t recognized by fifa 08.

Hey all, the problem that you are all having with these blcak screens and slow speeds is that you need to upgrade your PC to the next gen gaming.
It’s best if you have a Directx10 capable graphics card, this will give you quality of XBOX 360 and close to PS3 graphics.
I have two Nvidia 8600GT graphics cards in a SLI formation which connects both cards together to increase performance.
Roughly you need at least 256MB on each card, preferably 512MB which is what I have, a 2GB of RAM will do the job and you also need a duo-core proceseeor(AMD rather than Intel).
It’s all about moving with the times and next gen is here with us now.
