No i’ve got the same problem, the graphic is really shit, i think its a fake cause it looks similar to FIFA07 only the transfers of the Players has changed!

My little review of the FIFA 08 PC Demo:
On the face of it, nothing much have changed. The graphics are similar to FIFA 07 – maybe even a little worse. But I guess that must be because of the resolution. In the full game you will probably be able to set the resolution to 1024 x 768 px and the quality to ‘high’. That’s what I’m used to do in the 07 version of the game.
I have to make it perfectly clear that when I use the word ‘worse’ I don’t mean graphics are bad. They are great as always – just not the level that I know EA is capable of. But again – probably because of the low resolution, or because of the fact that this is only a demo.
The surroundings haven’t changed a lot, the players haven’t changed at all, and the navigation menu is almost the same. I, however, see the new grass graphics as a great improvement in terms of reality. Moreover, the running styles of the players seem more realistic. And the most amazing: The running styles of Ronaldinho and Messi are very realistic, I think.
At first I was a little disappointed, and like some of the other users here I wondered if this was really FIFA 08. However, I gave it a chance and played first half over and over again. At some point I discovered that FIFA 08 is, in fact, adding a lot of great features to the gameplay – in my opinion, that is.
Well, most of them have already been introduced at this site. So I will just shortly mention the ability to control exactly where you want to put the ball, the much more intuitive way of performing tricks, and – most importantly – the great option to switch to the exact player you want to control at any time. It is very easy, and it makes defending a lot more realistic and less frustrating.
But I think the two most important improvements to gameplay are the following ones which I haven’t even read about anywhere, and therefore I’m very surprised and happy about it:
1. To switch between players, press the 5-button, not the 2-button. That is great, because in FIFA 07 it was very unfortunate that the same button controlled both player switch and short passing.
2. With button 1 you can now make those great passes in the air that will still find a player like a normal pass. This is a great weapon when attacking, because you are able to build your attacks up by making great passes and then reach the goal.
However, I find the level in the demo at little too easy. I’m very suppriced to find that, beacuse I expected it to be very difficult. But then again, maybe the level in the demo is actually ‘amateur’. Does anybody know that?
It would have been great if you were able to try the ‘Be A Pro’-mode (just one half) in the demo. But OK, it’s business, and I guess EA know how to promote and sell a product. History seems to prove that, right?
So in short: I like the demo. Am I the only one?
The level in the demo is definitely one of the lowest levels, I might add.
I know now, because now I have played the demo with the patch ‘DemoExpander’.
Review of DemoExpander:
As patches go, this is a great one! Try to play the demo with this patch installed, and choose to play at the level ‘Legend’. Now you won’t complain about how easy it is to beat your opponents.
No words are able to describe how great this patch is. And best of all: You can choose to play forever. The match never stops. Your players get tired, though, and if you have a life outside the world of FIFA, you will have to stop at some point.
By the way, does anybody know why Martin Tyler isn’t the commentator in the demo? Hopefully, he will be in the full version of the game, as we were promised. He is the best commentator of them all. Don’t you think?

I`m really impressed with the demo as well, so the graphics and gameplay effort is current gen, whats nice is the gameplay`s been overhauled to keep me interested. Bear in mind i`ve been playing with the demo raptor with the difficulty set to world class and the graphics set to high.
The way the game actually plays is much much more realistic than previous fifa`s and dare i say comes close to the joy PES3/4 used to give me while playin.
Its really diffcult to break down defenses on world class and you really have to work for it, plus now in 08 the AI really attacks your goal , more often than not using the top indiviual skills of the top players like ronaldinho/ henry etc.
All in all its a good effort, look forward to giving this baby a run when its out.
think some of you dont really know what true footie games are. If you think the fifa08 pc gameplay is great, then u have not even played pro evolution 6 and previous series. The physics are so scripted and passing as well. The balls aren’t behaving like they are kicked but are flown around like sticky bombs.
Graphics aint tat great looking from far and as always the graphics are emphasized when there a zoom on the player. Similar to Fifa 07. If i would to play this ‘as my own soccer game’, i would get the xbox360 version as it will ‘play’ better. Serious controller lag on the PC. Bad physics and the AI is totally playing non-logical football.
One word, Fifa series will never catch up with Winning Eleven 2008. The HD version of WE/PES is going to own for the next few years just because both its graphics and physics and gameplay rule. Sad that EA ‘bought’ all the teams and sponsors away and leaving konami having troubles even putting actual team and player names. Just if adidas and nike would wake up and look at which is the better title.
just played the PC pro evo 2008 demo and it heaven and earth compared to fifa 2008 full pc version. OMG, i have nevered enjoyed WE/PES so much in this 2008 version. Firstly the faces and graphics liquidity own.. Look at each and every player in the national team, everyone is graphically crafted to look like the real person, including body height , aesthetics as well. Next is the most enjoyable and powerful thing, the game play. Wow, it has never been so amazing when the ball goes loose and everyone is scrambling to get it. OMG, i was like so impressed at the follow-ups and keeper’s reaction to every shot.
The AI and gameplay in WE/PES 2008 has improved at least 3 notches from 2007. Making it near to impossible to even compare Fifa 2008 in any way. The player names in WE/PES 2008 is exact (correct myself from the previous post) and authorized by FIFPro.
Think we have it, a clear winner and a winner in its genre for many years to come. Welcome to HD world of PES/WE.

for a demo this game is quite good, but for a $60 game the devs of this “game” need a fu$%* slap on the head.
the PC version is nothing like the Nextgen console ver. the graphics are bland, looks like a game from 3 years ago. i dunno about the gameplay thing, because this is my first PC FIFA game i’ve ever installed(and hate).
it’s like the devs says “Fu#$ it! i think the PS3 and the X360 ver are enough to get us some BEP, let’s just dump this SH#$ on the market and hope some stupid a#$ will buy it lol”
